5th Meeting of the Northern Indian Ocean Marine Turtle Task Force (NIO-MTTF)

The 5th Meeting of the Northern Indian Ocean Marine Turtle Task Force (NIO-MTTF) will be held online from 6-8 May 2025.

Sessions will start at UTC 04:00 every day. The start time corresponds to the following local times:

• Pakistan: 09:00 PKT (UTC+5 hours)
• Maldives: 09:00 MVT (UTC+5 hours)
• India: 09:30 IST (UTC+5:30 hours)
• Sri Lanka: 09:30 IST (UTC+5:30 hours)
• Bangladesh: 10:00 BST (UTC+6 hours)

We will hold two sessions per day of 1.5 hours each, with a break of 30 minutes in between, i.e. the meeting is scheduled to end after 3.5 hours each day.

Discussions will build upon those at the 4th NIO-MTTF meeting held in 2023 (report available here) and the outcomes of the 9th Meeting of the Signatory States (MOS9) held in 2024 (report available here).

Participation to the meeting is open to the Task Force Members and observers as specified in the Terms of Reference (see here for details).
