Marine Turtle

The MOU in a Nutshell

25 Years of Collaboration for the Conservation of Marine Turtles

25 Years of Collaboration for the Conservation of Marine Turtles

Since entering into force on 1 September 2001, the IOSEA Marine Turtle MOU has brought together governments, researchers, NGOs and local communities across the Indian Ocean and South-East Asia in a shared mission: the conservation and management of marine turtles and their habitats.

As we celebrate 25 years of the IOSEA Marine Turtle MOU, we want to showcase the people, initiatives and communities that have contributed to marine turtle conservation across the region, while inspiring future generations to continue this important work.
